Ian Nolan

CEO & Co-Founder
Ian co-founded Brightflag, whose mission is to bring the most modern and easy-to-use software to corporate legal departments, accompanied by stellar, proactive customer service. Prior to co-founding Brightflag, Ian spent seven years at CORTBase, a case management software company.

Alex Kelly

Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Alex co-founded Brightflag after spending more than six years at Matheson, Ireland’s largest law firm, in its financial institutions group. A legal technology thought leader, Alex is a frequent speaker at legal operations conferences on topics related to legal innovation and legal transformation.

Kevin Cohn

Chief Customer Officer
Kevin has extensive experience building cloud workflow, productivity, and analytics companies. Prior to joining Brightflag, Kevin was Chief Operating Officer at Atypon, a publishing software company (acquired by Wiley), and SVP of Operations at Smartling, a language translation technology and services platform (acquired by Battery Ventures). A Member of the Advisory Board of Legal Operators, Kevin is a passionate advocate for the development of the legal operations industry and the professionals working in it.

Ashley Hayes

Chief Technology Officer
Ashley has 15 years of experience leading engineering teams at e-invoicing and e-billing software companies. Prior to joining Brightflag, Ashley was Chief Technology Officer at Macalla (acquired by Mobileum) and Head of Product Engineering at BriteBill (acquired by Amdocs).

Mike Scarpelli

Chief Financial Officer
Mike has 15 years of experience leading finance teams at venture capital and private equity-backed companies, including at Reval, a cloud treasury software company, and ComplySci, a compliance platform. Mike’s career began at PwC, where he spent 9 years in the technology and media practice.

Dan Cobe

Vice President, Customer Success
Dan leads Brightflag’s customer success and professional services organization, ensuring that corporate legal departments and their vendors are supported by a team of trusted guides. Prior to joining Brightflag, Dan held various customer leadership positions at Smartling, the language translation platform.

Laura Gleeson

General Counsel and Vice President, Legal and Compliance
Laura’s career has spanned senior legal roles both in private practice and in house, giving her first-hand exposure to the importance of legal technology. Prior to joining Brightflag, Laura spent more than ten years at Matheson, Ireland’s largest law firm, where she was a partner in its Finance and Capital Markets group, after which she served as senior counsel at PM Group, a multinational engineering firm. Laura serves as a board director at Make-A-Wish Ireland and has a degree in Law & European Studies and a Master of Laws from the University of Limerick.

Jake Mendelson

Vice President, Sales
A customer-focused executive, Jake leads Brightflag’s team of sales professionals in partnering with legal operations visionaries to help them adopt legal tech successfully. Prior to joining Brightflag, Jake held various sales leadership positions at Rocketrip, the business travel platform.

Barry O’Melia

Vice President, Product
Barry has 20 years of experience as a legal technology product leader. Prior to joining Brightflag, Barry spent four years at Relativity, the $3.6 billion leader in e-discovery and compliance software, where he led product for the legal hold, information governance, and data integration verticals.

Jeff Soriano

Vice President, Marketing
Jeff is an accomplished marketing executive with nearly two decades of experience ranging from startups to $400 million revenue enterprises. Outside of work, Jeff plays six instruments (guitar, bass, drums, piano, trumpet, and ukulele), and shares his passion for sports by coaching youth lacrosse.

Ingrid Wallace

Vice President, People
Ingrid is an experienced leader who has built and led people teams and programs at multiple scaling technology companies. Prior to joining Brightflag, Ingrid was VP of Organization Development at Boxever, where she built the people function and scaled the organization through its acquisition by Sitecore.
